Wrath Classic Cold Weather Flying Guide
Northrend is a vast continent, so you’ll want to unlock Cold Weather Flying as soon as you can in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic. There are 11 new areas to explore and at least two of them have areas you won’t be able to reach with a ground mount alone. Let’s face it, flying takes the pain out of questing a lot too.
One of the benefits of unlocking Cold Weather Flying on one of your characters is that you can purchase an item which also allows any alts you have to learn it. So if you’re ready to learn how to soar in the skies of the cold northern continent, here’s how to unlock flying in Wrath Classic.
Wrath Classic Flight: How to Unlock
First of all you must be level 77 or higher to learn Cold Weather Flying on your first character. It will set you back 1000 gold coins also – hope you saved some money while leveling. You also need to learn Expert ridingwhich you should have if you’ve played Burning Crusade Classic, as it’s the skill that allows you to fly in Outland.
If you meet all of these requirements, you can head to one of three flight trainers. These are:
- Hira Snowdawn: Kraus’ Landing, Dalaran
- Vic driver: Heart of the River, Sholazar Basin
- Roxi Ramrocket: K3, storm peaks
Where to Get the Tome of Cold Weather Flight
Hira Snowdawn, the cold weather flight trainer in Dalaran, also sells the Tome of Cold Weather Flight which is an item you can send to lower level alts. It will still cost you 1000 gold, so you don’t save anything in terms of currency, but the item can be used at level 68. This basically means that any alts you intend to level through the Northrend can fly there as soon as they arrive. either Borean Tundra or Howling Fjord, so leveling a second or third character should be much faster. Perfect excuse to level up an alternate army, right?
