Pokemon Sword and Shield Player Drops Legendary Attempt For First Shiny
Pokemon Sword and Shieldof Crown tundra The DLC on Nintendo Switch introduced players to Dynamax Adventures, a new item that allows players to obtain Legendary Pokémon spanning different generations. However, there is an interesting twist in that players can only select one Pokemon that they keep at the end of an outing. This resulted in a very difficult decision for Reddit user axel2ax, who was forced to choose between the legendary Pokemon Ho-oh and a Shiny Sealeo! The poster called it “the hardest decision” they had to make in the game, but it looks like the tradeoff was worth it to get their first Shiny Pokémon of all time.

The hardest decision I’ve had to make … but I love my first Shiny Pokémon! by r / PokemonSwordAndShield
In the end, axel2ax definitely made the right decision! Ho-oh may be a Legendary Pokémon, but it will be available again, giving the player another chance to add it to their collection later. Comparatively, this Shiny Sealeo would actually be much harder to find later. Shiny Pokémon actually don’t have any specific advantages over their normal colored counterparts, but they’re a really cool addition to a player’s team or collection. Their extreme rarity has made them highly sought after, and some players can spend hundreds of hours playing without ever encountering one.
The addition of Dynamax Adventures has been one of the most exciting parts of Sword and shieldexpansion pass. There is a lot of strategy involved in how players choose to navigate the Pokemon Dens located in Crown tundra. While most players embark on Dynamax Adventures for the specific purpose of finding Legendaries like Ho-oh, axel2ax’s Sealeo discovery highlights some of the other rare Pokémon that can be obtained inside. Selecting just one of the two Pokémon was probably a bit of a disappointment, but there are few things more exciting in the series than finding an unexpected shiny Pokémon. This new Sealeo seems to be worth the compromise!
