ONE Championship and Amazon Prime Video announce more events
ONE Championship has officially kicked off its primetime return to the United States after global mixed martial arts organization and Amazon Prime Video streaming partner announced the full 2022 “ONE on Prime Video” schedule via a release from hurry.
The two companies held a joint press conference Wednesday night at the Novo in Los Angeles and issued a media alert afterwards. He was followed by a string of big name athletes such as Angela Lee, Demetrious Johnson, Eddie Alvarez, and more.
Previously known as ONE 161, the August 26 event is now known as “ONE on Prime Video 1: Moraes vs Johnson II”. It streams live in prime time in the US via Amazon Prime Video, with the event taking place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
In the main event, ONE World Flyweight Champion Adriano Moraes and MMA legend Demetrious Johnson feature in a highly anticipated rematch. Additionally, there are four other events with dates in pencil.
The next four ONE cards on Prime Video will air on September 30, October 21, November 18, and December 2, with all events beginning at 9:00 p.m. EDT.

ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong said in a press release that his organization is more than ready to bring North American audiences the full range of martial arts the promotion hosts.
Unlike other promotions that focus solely on MMA, ONE Championship places great emphasis on Muay Thai, kickboxing, and submission grappling.

A stacked event for ONE on Prime Video
While the headliner of the first ONE on the Prime Video map is sure to be a firefight, the main map is also expected to offer some spectacular top-down combat.

World Flyweight Muay Thai Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon also returns when he takes on Savvas Michael in the semifinals of the ONE World Flyweight Muay Thai Grand Prix.
Rodtang, who has already become a global star, was also on the first primetime card of ONE Championship last year when he fought Danial Williams at ONE on TNT I in April 2021.
A few MMA heavyweight bouts are also scheduled for the showpiece event, as Brazilian jiu-jitsu legend Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida takes on Belarusian mauler Kirill Grishenko, and Iranian wrestling sensation Amir Aliakbari takes on former World Cup challenger. world title Mauro Carilli.
