Dolby, last September, announced that the Xbox Series S and Series X would benefit from support for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision HDR. Today, the company rolled out the feature to the Xbox Series X and S gaming consoles for testers who are part of the Xbox Insider Alpha Ring group.

Microsoft, according to a report from The Verge, claims the feature will bring “ sharper reflections, sharper contrast, and more vivid colors ” while playing various games on both game consoles on a Dolby Vision compatible TV. . The company further claims that the update will provide clarity in light and dark scenes.

Dolby Vision games automatically match any screen with Dolby Vision, you always see the best possible picture, ”the company says. “That means… more sliders to adjust your picture settings.” However, he says testers may need to update their TV’s firmware to take full advantage of the technology.
