Marvel’s Avengers Creative Director Joins Naughty Dog, Apex Legends Mobile Has Launched, and More

Let’s start a new week with some video game news, like the official announcement of Apex Legends Mobile. As well as, Celestial developer Extremely OK Games announced their new project Earthblade, Marvel’s AvengersCreative Director has joined Naughty Dog, and more. Apex Legends Mobile will receive beta testing this month
While Respawn Entertainment mentioned the mobile version of Apex Legends some time ago we didn’t have a lot of information on the next title. Now the developer has officially introduced Apex Legends Mobile and will launch its first beta later this month. Details are still scarce, but we do know that this is a brand new version of the game designed around a touchscreen and will not be compatible with cross play with PC and console.

Activision describes season 3 of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone
Call of Duty: Cold War Black Ops and Warzone will receive their Season Three updates on April 22, 2021 and Activision has detailed what to expect from both games this week. To begin, Cold War Black Ops will receive four new multiplayer maps, as well as a new Zombies Outbreak region. As for Warzone, you can expect a map update, several new weapons, operators, an all-new battle pass, and more. Check out all the details below.

Latest NieR Replicant trailer shows new episode called Mermaid
Square Enix released another Replicant NieR trailer, this time focusing on new content such as a new episode titled “Mermaid”. The trailer features new costumes, weapons, and an additional set of dungeons with 15 nightmares. It has also been confirmed that many actors from NieR: Automata will make an appearance in Replicant. Replicant NieR will launch on April 23, 2021.
Celeste developer reveals new game, Earthblade
Extremely OK Games, the acclaimed developer of Celestial, unveiled its latest game, Earthblade. As the developer explains on Twitter, Earthblade is a “2D action exploration game set in a transparent pixel art world.” It’s unclear what this will look like in action, but the video below is called a ‘mood reveal,’ showing off a logo and setting the tone. The game does not yet have a release date, but it is likely to be years away.

Marvel’s Avengers Creative Director Shaun Escayg has joined Naughty Dog
Marvel’s Avengers Creative Director Shaun Escayg has joined Naughty Dog, as confirmed today via Twitter. Previously, Escayg was best known for his work as a film host on The last of us, in addition to being the creative director of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Escayg then left to join Crystal Dynamics to create Marvel’s Avengers but returned to Naughty Dog after this game was delivered. It’s unclear what Escayg is working on at Naughty Dog, but as the company states, “he can’t wait to do some great things together.”
