Back 4 Blood is slated for release on October 12, and I dare say that many people are hoping it will be a powerful spiritual successor to the incredibly popular Left 4 Dead franchise. I mean, it’s not like Valve has shown any interest in making a new one, is it? Then again, they’re well known for having an apparent fear of number 3. – For those of you looking to try it out on your PC, however, you might be wondering if your hardware has the grunt to kill. zombies. Well, following an official update from PCGameBenchmark, we now have the full, final and confirmed PC requirements for Back 4 Blood. And the good news is, they’re surprisingly benign!

Back 4 Blood – PC Requirements!

While we’ve copied the full system setup below, the short version is that Back 4 Blood seems to be quite happy to run on pretty much anything that can, pretty much, quantify as a gaming system. Being Since the Nvidia 970 is listed in the “recommended” section for graphics cards, this suggests that the vast majority of you will not have all issues to make it work with both nicely refined graphics and silky frame rates.

MINIMUM:

  • Requires 64-bit processor and operating system
  • Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: i5-6600 (3.3 GHz) OR AMD Ryzen 5 2600 (3.4 GHz)
  • Memory: 8 GB of RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce ™ GTX 1050 Ti or AMD® Radeon ™ RX 570
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: broadband internet connection
  • Storage: 40 GB of available space
  • Additional Notes: 1080p / 60fps / low quality settings

ADVISED:

  • Requires 64-bit processor and operating system
  • Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 (2.8 GHz) OR AMD Ryzen 7 1800X (3.6 GHz)
  • Memory: 12 GB of RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce ™ GTX 970 or AMD® Radeon ™ RX 590
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: broadband internet connection
  • Storage: 40 GB of available space
  • Additional Notes: 1080p / 60fps / high quality settings

Let’s just hope they got rid of those “racist” zombies.

What do we think?

Although Back 4 Blood is a brand new version of the game, I will freely admit that I am very surprised that it seems to be able to perform well on what I would politely describe as particularly outdated technology. I mean, just look at these recommended specs… 1st gen Ryzen and a POLARIS Graphic card? – I can only hope this means the title has been incredibly optimized, but I’m also slightly worried that it might mean that Back 4 Blood looks like a 4 year old game!

Its release is scheduled for October 12, however, if you want to know more, you can check out the official Steam Store site via the link here! – Although for £ 49.99 I think I will personally be expecting a sale!
